Light Weight Deflectometer (LWD)

The system consists of a drop weight, energy-absorbing buffer, guide rod, circular loading plate, high-speed digital data acquisition unit, and precision deflection sensor. Its compact and balanced structural design allows fast setup and repeatable measurements by a single operator. Mechanical design focuses on transmitting a controlled vertical impact through a spring assembly to the loading plate, ensuring uniform and axial load transfer. This configuration helps maintain homogeneous stress distribution at the plate–soil interface. The electronic unit features a field-readable, backlit display and multilingual menu structure. Measurements are stored in internal memory with time and location stamps; data transfer is provided via USB/Bluetooth. Power system incorporates a high-capacity rechargeable battery and low-consumption electronics, enabling extended field operation.
