Automatic Marshall Stability Test Machine
Automatic Marshall Stability Test Machine is a fully automated, high-precision system that measures the stability and flow of asphalt mixtures by applying a constant-rate load to Marshall specimens, recording load and deformation digitally, and providing accurate, repeatable, and user-friendly asphalt performance evaluation with integrated data acquisition and reporting.
Automatic Marshall Stability Test Machine is designed to determine the maximum load (stability) and flow values of asphalt mixtures with high accuracy. This fully automatic, closed-loop controlled system performs specimen loading, data acquisition, and result evaluation in a single workflow, using a high-precision load cell and digital deformation sensor. Developed by YKMTEST, the system incorporates a robust mechanical frame and a quiet electromechanical loading unit. A step-motor-driven mechanism raises the loading platen at a constant rate of 50.8 mm/min, applying controlled force to the specimen. The applied load is continuously measured by a high-precision, temperature-compensated 50 kN load cell and displayed digitally. At failure, maximum load (stability) is automatically recorded, while deformation (flow) is simultaneously measured using the connected displacement sensor. The operator interface is designed to meet the requirements of modern asphalt laboratories. Test parameters are easily entered through a 10″ color touchscreen; the live load–deformation curve is displayed during testing, and the system stops automatically upon completion. The software records specimen information, loading duration, stability, and flow values for each test. Data can be transferred via USB or PC connection, and automatic reporting enables convenient archiving. The double-column steel frame ensures long service life, while the motor drive operates quietly and with minimal vibration. The adjustable crosshead accommodates both standard ø101.6 mm Marshall specimens and ø152.4 mm oversized specimens. The control system is equipped with calibration and auto-zero functions to minimize operator error. When the test begins, the system zeroes the load cell and deformation sensor; loading then starts automatically. When maximum load is detected, the machine stops. Throughout the process, the test speed remains constant and the load–deformation curve is displayed in real time. YKMTEST’s fully automatic Marshall testing system delivers high accuracy, repeatability, and user convenience. It provides a standardized test workflow with no need for manual readings, mechanical adjustments, or manual data entry.
