Large Type Length Comparator with Readout Unit is a professional device designed to measure length changes of concrete, mortar, and cement specimens with high accuracy. It is especially used for analyzing deformation due to expansion, shrinkage, and curing conditions. This system has been developed to measure the linear dimensional changes of prism or cylinder specimens in a laboratory environment relative to a precise reference frame. YKMTEST’s large type length comparator is equipped with a rigid steel measurement bridge, stainless-steel reference studs, and a high-resolution digital measurement sensor. The measurement is performed by contacting the specimen between a fixed support point on the reference frame and the movable measuring tip. When the specimen is positioned, the digital readout unit on the measuring tip displays the length difference at a micrometric level. This system enables reliable monitoring of time-dependent length changes, such as drying shrinkage or sulfate-induced expansion. The device can accommodate different lengths for both prism and cylinder specimens. Its wide measurement range covers a variety of specimen sizes. The digital readout unit provides measurements with 0.001 mm resolution and displays both instantaneous and differential values. The readout unit also features easy calibration and zeroing functions. Since the support points remain fixed during measurement, operator-induced measurement errors are minimized.
