El dispositivo cuenta con un robusto mecanismo de rotaci\u00f3n que gira en paralelo al eje horizontal. Este sistema mantiene los frascos de gas en su sitio de forma segura durante la prueba. La velocidad de rotaci\u00f3n se suele fijar en 50 \u00b1 2 rpm. Al girar la muestra durante el tiempo necesario, el aparato permite que las burbujas de aire atrapadas se escapen por completo y favorece la dispersi\u00f3n uniforme de las part\u00edculas dentro del l\u00edquido. Esta homogeneizaci\u00f3n mejora significativamente la precisi\u00f3n de las mediciones de densidad. Se pueden montar hasta dos frascos simult\u00e1neamente, lo que permite realizar pruebas con dos muestras al mismo tiempo.
