Automatic Volume Change Apparatus continuously tracks the volume of water passing through the measurement chamber, allowing accurate recording of volumetric deformation during the consolidation, the drainage, and the saturation stages. Direct integration with the pressure circuits maintains measurement stability under the cell pressure and the back pressure. A direct, measurable relationship is established between the displacement of the piston placed inside the cell and the water volume contained in the measurement chamber. Low-hysteresis sealing elements and finely finished internal surfaces ensure repeatable measurements, even during reversible flow. When used with the CU, CD, and UU triaxial test systems, all test parameters—such as rate, target step, and hold criteria—can be controlled from a single software interface. The system provides real-time graphical monitoring, peak-value capture, and automatic data logging.
