Neoprene Compression Pads and Plates are neoprene pads and precision-machined steel retainers used to prepare the end faces of cylindrical specimens in accordance with  the standards and to ensure axial-fidelity load transfer during compression testing. The elastomeric neoprene pads are safely confined, homogenizing load distribution and providing repeatable results up to failure. The body is manufactured from high-strength steel; smooth ground surfaces and a corrosion-resistant coating maintain dimensional stability under heavy laboratory use. Pad plates and pads are sized to match common cylinder dimensions. With 60-Shore hardness, compression tolerance provides correct contact conditions for both low- and high-strength concrete. Ergonomics and ease of maintenance are prioritized. Chamfered, tapered inlet ensures slip-free seating of the pad into its recess; outer-edge chamfers and rounding prevent damage during assembly. Neoprene pads are compatible with spherically seated platens and automatically controlled test frames, reducing contact errors when the loading rate is stabilized.
