Accelerated Polishing Machine (PSV) is engineered to measure the polished stone value of aggregates, concrete, and paving stones under standardized testing conditions. A precision-machined rotating specimen table secures standard-sized stone panels using accurate centering surfaces, ensuring consistent alignment and uniform contact conditions throughout each polishing cycle. Polishing action in the Accelerated Polishing Machine (PSV) is generated by a rubber-covered road wheel operating under constant pressure through a controlled loading system. The wheel travels across the specimen surface at a defined and constant speed, producing repeatable polishing energy. An integrated digital revolution counter and automatic stop function terminate the operation when the preset number of cycles is reached, while an adjustable timer ensures consistent test duration control. The abrasive and water supply systems are fully integrated into the machine. A mechanically controlled dosing unit uniformly distributes the abrasive–water mixture into the wheel–specimen contact zone. A stainless steel collection tray and directional discharge channels safely manage spent abrasive and water. Safety features include lid interlock and emergency stop switches to protect the operator during operation. Quick-clamping specimen holders enable fast sample changes, while the balanced drive system, low-friction bearings, and close-tolerance table machining ensure stable operation and highly repeatable polishing performance.
