EN Automatic Four Column Compression Testing Machines for Cubes and Cylinders are advanced closed-loop controlled testing systems developed to automatically determine the compressive strength of concrete cube and cylinder specimens in full compliance with EN 12390-4 performance requirements. These machines are engineered for professional laboratories requiring accuracy, repeatability, high throughput, and operational safety.

The high-rigidity four-column frame combined with a single-piece base block ensures precise axial alignment and stable load transfer to the specimen throughout the test. A spherically seated upper platen and a ground, hardened lower platen provide automatic self-centering and uniform load distribution, minimizing alignment errors for both cube and cylinder specimens.

The hydraulic power unit operates under fully automatic closed-loop control using a proportional valve architecture. The system maintains the standard-defined constant loading rate throughout the test, independent of operator influence. At specimen failure, the maximum load is automatically detected, compressive strength is instantly calculated in MPa, and the piston is retracted to a safe position.

The wide test opening and long piston stroke allow efficient testing of standard concrete cube sizes as well as 100×200 mm and 150×300 mm concrete cylinders on the same platform. High-resolution load measurement sensors and low frame deflection ensure consistent accuracy and dimensional stability during long-term laboratory operation.

The integrated touchscreen control unit streamlines test execution and reporting. Predefined method templates for cube and cylinder tests enable rapid setup, while real-time load–displacement curves are displayed during testing. Test data are automatically stored and can be transferred via USB or Ethernet for reporting and laboratory data management. User authorization functions support traceability in accredited testing environments.

Operational safety is ensured by a transparent polycarbonate safety enclosure, door interlock switch, emergency stop system, and stroke/overload limit protections. Smooth platen surfaces, centering marks, and quick-connect details accelerate specimen changeover, while corrosion-resistant surface coatings and accessible service panels reduce maintenance time.
