pH indicator papers are laboratory-grade test strips designed to determine the acidic or basic nature of aqueous solutions through with a rapid and distinct color change. They are supplied in a universal 0–14 pH range. Booklet format with pre-cut, single-use strips provide clean and convenient handling. Reading time ranges from 1 to 10 seconds; once the color stabilizes, it is matched with the reference scale, and the value is recorded. The indicator layer is supported by a tear-resistant backing, maintaining shape when wet and preventing deformation during reading.
