Mud Balance is a professional beam balance designed for rapid, accurate, and repeatable density (specific gravity) measurement of drilling muds, grouts, and bentonite-based slurries in both field and laboratory environments. The anodized metal body, precisely machined knife-edge pivot, and low-friction bearings provide sensitive equilibrium; an integrated bubble level and adjustment screw allow quick leveling in every setup. The fixed-volume sample chamber with a leak-proof lid minimizes errors due to air bubbles or leakage, while chemical-resistant gaskets and smooth interior surfaces shorten cleaning time. The sliding weight indicator offers direct readings in multiple units, including g/cm³ (SG), lb/gal, and lb/ft³, and the wide-scale design ensures readability for both low- and high-density fluids. A stable base stand and carrying case protect the device during intensive field use. Calibration reference points and included verification accessories enhance measurement traceability. Corrosion-resistant surface treatment, robust fasteners, and rounded edges ensure long service life and safe handling. The device architecture is developed to meet international requirements for mud density determination in drilling and geotechnical applications. It is compatible with API RP 13B-1/13B-2 procedures and ASTM D4380 for bentonitic slurries.
