Y-Pilot S Automatic Servo Control Unit is a high-precision, closed-loop servo-hydraulic system for fully automatic compression and flexure testing of concrete and cement-based specimens.
Y-Pilot S Automatic Servo Control Unit for Concrete & Cement Compression/Flexure Testing Machines is an advanced servo-hydraulic loading and control platform designed to perform fully automatic compression and flexure tests on concrete and cement-based specimens under closed-loop control. Developed for professional laboratories, the system delivers superior precision, repeatability, and standards compliance while minimizing operator influence.
The control unit processes real-time feedback from load, displacement, and optional extension or strain sensors to maintain constant and stable loading rates defined by relevant standards. A high-resolution, low-latency servo drive ensures smooth force application and accurate response to specimen behavior throughout the test, enabling consistent and repeatable results.
The industrial-grade touchscreen operator interface provides access to preset method templates for concrete cylinder and cube compression tests, as well as mortar prism compression and flexure applications. Once specimen dimensions are entered, strength and stress values are calculated automatically. Real-time load–time and load–displacement graphs are displayed during testing, allowing continuous monitoring and analysis.
Automatic zeroing, preloading, target-rate loading, stopping at maximum load, and piston return are managed as a single integrated workflow. This automation eliminates operator-related variability and significantly shortens test cycle times. Dual-frame management enables both compression and flexure frames connected to the same hydraulic power unit to be controlled from a single console, with automatic recognition of frame and sensor identity.
The system includes four configurable sensor input channels, supporting load cells, pressure transducers, LVDTs or encoders, and extensometers. This multi-sensor capability allows advanced testing configurations and expanded measurement options. Safety features include emergency stop, overload and stroke limit protection, continuous self-diagnostics, and fault logging for secure operation in demanding laboratory environments.
For seamless laboratory integration, Y-Pilot S Automatic Servo Control Unit supports USB and Ethernet communication, enabling fast data export and compatibility with LIMS systems. Test results and graphs can be reported in CSV and PDF formats. An integrated calibration wizard accelerates traceable verification procedures and supports compliance with accredited laboratory requirements.
