Cet essai simule les obstacles rencontr\u00e9s par le BAP lorsqu'il s'\u00e9coule \u00e0 travers des barres d'armature ou un coffrage dens\u00e9ment arm\u00e9. En mesurant l'\u00e9talement du b\u00e9ton en \u00e9coulement libre autour de l'anneau en J, on d\u00e9termine le degr\u00e9 de restriction de l'\u00e9coulement. L'anneau en J est fabriqu\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de tiges d'acier usin\u00e9es avec pr\u00e9cision, positionn\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re uniforme sur le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre de l'anneau. La disposition des barres d'armature est conforme aux exigences de la norme ASTM C1621 : diam\u00e8tre des barres de 16 mm et hauteur de 50 \u00b1 2 mm. Le diam\u00e8tre int\u00e9rieur de l'anneau est de 300 \u00b1 2 mm et le diam\u00e8tre ext\u00e9rieur de 360 \u00b1 2 mm. Cette g\u00e9om\u00e9trie reproduit de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9aliste l'\u00e9coulement du b\u00e9ton \u00e0 travers une armature dense. Le principe d'essai est appliqu\u00e9 tel que d\u00e9crit dans la norme ASTM C1621. Le J-Ring est plac\u00e9 au centre d'une table d'\u00e9coulement ou d'une surface m\u00e9tallique plane. Un c\u00f4ne d'affaissement est positionn\u00e9 au centre de l'anneau. Apr\u00e8s avoir rempli le c\u00f4ne de b\u00e9ton et nivel\u00e9 la surface, le c\u00f4ne est soulev\u00e9 avec pr\u00e9caution. Le b\u00e9ton s'\u00e9coule librement \u00e0 travers le J-Ring.
