The wide column spacing allows molds and adapters of different sizes to be positioned concentrically; height adjustment nuts enable quick vertical alignment of the specimen. The mechanical drive train—featuring a backlash-free lead screw and geared reduction—delivers low-vibration, constant-rate penetration. Upper and lower limit stops protect the drive and measurement components at end-of-travel positions, and an emergency stop button enhances operator safety. The base and column connections are torsion-resistant; leveling feet and anti-slip pads provide stable benchtop operation.
