Manual Cement Compression and Flexure Testing Machines are hand-operated hydraulic systems designed for accurate, standard-compliant determination of compressive and flexural strength of cement and mortar specimens.
Manual cement compression and flexure testing machines are professional, hand-pump-operated systems designed to measure the compressive and flexural strength of cement and mortar specimens in a standard-compliant and repeatable manner. The rigid, bend-resistant steel frame, combined with a spherical-seat upper head and heat-treated, precision-ground loading plates, ensures uniform load transfer across the specimen surface. The hand-operated hydraulic pump and fine-adjustment needle valve allow precise manual control of the load increase rate (pace rate), with the applied load clearly monitored via an analog pressure gauge or an optional digital display. Compression capacity options range from 150 to 300 kN, while flexure tests utilize frames with 10–15 kN capacity equipped with bearing-supported loading heads. In dual-station configurations, a directional valve enables rapid switching between compression and flexure testing, allowing two tests to be conducted efficiently with a single power unit. The flexure attachment features a third-point loading system, alignment supports, and low-friction bearings to enhance measurement repeatability, while compression testing employs high-hardness upper and lower plates to minimize edge failures in small mortar specimens. Safety is ensured with a transparent protective shield/cover interlock, pressure relief valve, and emergency stop mechanisms. Smooth, solvent-resistant painted surfaces and leak-proof hydraulic lines reduce maintenance costs, while wide daylight openings and quick-adjustment distance pieces accelerate mould-to-specimen changes. The machine architecture is developed in accordance with EN 196-1 / ISO 679 for flexure tests on 40×40×160 mm prisms and compression tests on half-prisms, as well as ASTM C348 (flexure), ASTM C349 (compression on half-prisms), and ASTM C109 (50 mm cubes). The combination of manual control flexibility, a durable frame, and precise loading components provides a reliable, economical, and long-lasting solution for quality control laboratories, education, and R&D applications.
