Asphalt Thin-Film Oven
Asphalt Thin-Film Oven
The Thin Film Oven Test (TFOT) is a method used to examine the mass loss and property changes of bituminous materials when exposed to high temperatures. This test determines how bitumen responds to thermal aging. The oven’s internal chamber is made entirely of stainless steel, with insulation filling the space between the chamber and the external frame. Temperature control is precisely managed by a digital thermoregulator. Additionally, the oven is equipped with a dual safety thermostat to prevent accidental overheating. During the test, the plate rotates at a speed of 5–6 rpm, ensuring even heat exposure for the samples.
