EN Automatic Compression Testing Machines with Welded Walls are closed-loop systems designed for accurate and repeatable compressive strength testing of concrete cubes and cylinders in full compliance with EN 12390-4.
EN Automatic Compression Testing Machines with Welded Walls for Cubes and Cylinders are advanced closed-loop controlled test systems developed to determine the compressive strength of concrete specimens in accordance with EN 12390-4 requirements. The machines are specifically engineered for professional laboratories that demand high accuracy, stability, and operational efficiency.
The load-bearing structure features a single-piece welded-wall frame architecture. This compact box-type construction provides exceptional rigidity and minimizes frame deformation under load, ensuring precise axial alignment and stable load transfer to the specimen. Precision-machined guide surfaces and thermally stable materials maintain dimensional accuracy even during intensive, long-term laboratory use.
A spherically seated upper platen and a ground, hardened lower platen ensure uniform load distribution and reliable specimen centering. Integrated reference centering marks enable fast and accurate setup for both cube and cylinder specimens. The wide test opening and long piston stroke allow testing of common concrete cube sizes as well as 100×200 mm and 150×300 mm cylinders on the same machine platform without structural modification.
The hydraulic power unit applies load under fully automatic closed-loop control. Using high-resolution force feedback, the system maintains the standard-defined loading rate throughout the test. At specimen failure, the maximum load is automatically captured, compressive strength is calculated in MPa, and the piston is retracted to a safe position.
The integrated electronic control unit with touchscreen interface streamlines test execution and reporting. Predefined method templates support rapid selection of cube or cylinder tests. Real-time load–displacement curves are displayed during testing, and results are automatically stored. Data can be exported via USB or Ethernet for reporting and laboratory data management.
Operational safety is enhanced by a transparent polycarbonate safety enclosure, a locking door interlock switch, and an emergency stop system. Vibration-damping leveling feet provide stability on the bench, while the quick-change platen and adapter system reduces downtime when switching between cube and cylinder testing configurations.
