Jigs for Compression and Flexure Tests
Jigs for Compression and Flexure Tests are precision-engineered fixtures designed to ensure standardized, accurate, and repeatable loading of cement and mortar specimens for reliable strength testing.
Jigs for compression and flexure tests are precision fixture solutions designed to ensure that loads are applied to cement and mortar specimens in a repeatable, standardized, and accurate manner. The rigid body and heat-treated, ground contact surfaces maintain parallelism and flatness tolerances, minimizing eccentric loading. For flexural testing, third-point and three-point loading devices feature high-hardness, bearing-supported rollers and low-friction mounts, providing uniform moment distribution along the specimen. Adjustable spans allow rapid setup of standard support distances for 40×40×160 mm prisms. In compression fixtures, the spherical-seat upper component compensates for minor misalignments, while high-hardness upper and lower contact surfaces reduce edge breakage and ensure uniform load transfer for 50 mm cubes and half-prisms. Centralizing guide rings, magnetic/grooved support surfaces, and quick-change locking mechanisms accelerate mold-to-specimen handling and reduce operator dependency. Corrosion-resistant coatings, smooth cleanable geometry, and rounded edges provide long service life and low maintenance under intensive laboratory schedules. Compatible height adapters and distance pieces optimize piston stroke, shorten cycle times, and maximize frame rigidity utilization. The fixture architecture is developed to comply with EN 196-1 / ISO 679 for mortar prism flexure and half-prism compression, as well as ASTM C348 (flexure), ASTM C349 (half-prism compression), and ASTM C109 (50 mm cube compression) in terms of dimensional accuracy and loading geometry. Jigs for Compression and Flexure Tests provide a reliable, fast, and user-friendly setup for standard-compliant, comparable, and reportable results in quality control and R&D laboratories.
