Smhmidt Hammer N Type
Smhmidt Hammer N Type
Concrete quality is primarily assessed based on its compressive strength, which directly impacts the load-bearing capacity and durability of concrete structures. The rebound is measured by the test hammer and can be converted into compressive strength. The Type N Rebound Hammer (Schmidt Hammer) is designed to measure the compressive strength properties of hardened concrete using a non-destructive method. This device helps analyze the overall quality of the concrete and identify potential weak points. The concrete object to be tested must be at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) thick to ensure high accuracy and reliability of the data. Depending on the hardness of the concrete, the body of the hammer rebounds to a greater or lesser extent.
