Analog Marshall Stability Test Machine with proving ring is a high-strength, hand-driven system that measures the stability and flow of bituminous mixtures by applying a constant-rate load to standard Marshall specimens, providing accurate, repeatable, and cost-effective asphalt performance evaluation.

Analog Marshall Stability Test Machine is designed to determine the stability (maximum load-carrying capacity) and flow (deformation at failure) values of bituminous mixtures. It is used to evaluate asphalt mixture performance and to estimate field behavior during mix design and quality control. YKMTEST’s analog Marshall stability system consists of a high-strength dual-column steel frame, mechanical loading unit, proving ring, and deformation dial gauge. Loading is applied through a platen that moves at a constant rate. The applied load is read directly from a calibrated proving ring; the maximum load at specimen failure is recorded as the stability value. Simultaneously, vertical deformation is measured to determine the flow value. A hand-driven gear mechanism operates the loading platen at the standard testing rate of 50.8 mm/min. This constant loading rate ensures consistent test conditions across samples. The proving ring, manufactured from precision spring steel, measures deflection with high resolution to display actual applied load without the need for electrical sensors. The system accommodates various specimen sizes. Standard ø101.6 mm Marshall specimens are supported, and ø152.4 mm specimens can also be tested using optional adapter plates. The crosshead height is adjustable to safely position molds of different heights.
