The closed-loop control architecture supports load, displacement, and strain-controlled testing modes. An integrated load cell and high-resolution displacement sensor provide linear, wide-range measurement capability. Automatic zeroing, peak-hold capture, and load- or displacement-based rate control are standard. The built-in four-channel operator panel acquires multiple sensor inputs simultaneously, enabling real-time graphing, annotation, and fast reporting workflows with pre-formatted templates. VersaLoad features a modular crosshead and quick-change fixture interface. Compression platens, tensile grips, three-/four-point bending fixtures, Brazilian (indirect tension) accessories, and civil-material adapters can be used interchangeably on a single test frame. Wide vertical clearance and an adjustable crosshead allow different specimen geometries to be positioned without misalignment. The user interface is managed via a touchscreen control panel and PC software. Test speed, target load or strain, stop criteria, and safety limits are configured from a single screen. Predefined test templates and a method library support quick repeat testing using identical parameters. Safety and ergonomics are central to the design. Dual over-travel limiters and an emergency stop button are standard. Quiet servo drive and vibration-damped frame enhance laboratory performance and operator comfort.
