Ячейка Hoek

Hoek Cell is a triaxial testing chamber designed to investigate the behavior of rock specimens under confining pressure conditions. Widely used as a standard component in rock mechanics laboratories, the cell simulates real in-situ stress conditions by applying both axial and lateral pressure to the specimen.

The rock specimen placed inside the cylindrical body is wrapped in a flexible membrane and subjected to uniformly distributed confining pressure through hydraulic fluid within the chamber. Simultaneously, axial load is increased via a loading frame and the deformation and failure behavior of the specimen are monitored. Throughout this process, parameters such as the cohesion, the internal friction angle, the failure envelope, and the elastic properties can be reliably determined. The design features a removable mold, robust cylindrical housing, and high-performance sealing components that ensure long service life. The machined and hardened seating surfaces provide homogeneous load transfer to the specimen and minimize alignment errors. Its user-friendly structure enables fast and practical specimen installation and replacement. The device is compatible with adapters that allow testing of the specimens with different diameters. With a pressure capacity of 70 MPa, it offers a wide working range for rock mechanics applications.
