Jolting Table is a compact specimen compaction device designed to prepare cement and mortar samples at standardized density, compliant with EN 196-1 and ISO 679. It is used to remove entrapped air, ensure homogeneous distribution, and compact mortar to standard consistency during mould filling. The unit consists of a light steel frame, vibration-free eccentric jolting mechanism, and adjustable table carrier. The mould is rigidly fixed on the table and remains centered throughout testing. Motion is provided by a motor-driven cam system. The table is lifted 15 ± 0.3 mm each cycle and falls freely under gravity. According to the standard, jolting is performed at 60 ± 1 drops/min. An integrated counter monitors the number of drops and stops the device automatically when the preset value is reached. The eccentric lifting system is driven by a quiet motor-reducer assembly, providing stable speed and vibration-free operation. Since motor speed is constant, the drop energy remains identical for each sample, delivering high repeatability and standard-compliant compaction.
