Automatic Marshall Impact Compactor is designed to prepare only 4-inch (≈101.6 mm) Marshall specimens by impact compaction fully automatically, providing high repeatability and productivity. A rigid steel body and heavy-duty column structure dampen vibration during impact, ensuring uniform energy transfer along the mold axis. A precision-machined guide system and standard-compliant hammer mass maintain constant drop height on every blow, delivering consistent specimen density across batches. A programmable control unit allows easy adjustment of blow count and blow rate; a digital counter, automatic cycle-end stop and restart functions reduce error risk in high-throughput laboratory workflows. Mold-clamping fixtures, alignment pins and a smooth ground anvil surface prevent misalignment and leakage during impact; fast-change architecture enables insertion and removal of 4-inch molds within seconds. A safety interlock disables operation when the lid is open, while an emergency stop button and shock-absorbing base enhance operator safety. Optional accessories—including sound-insulated cabinet, mold heaters, specimen extraction press and ejector disks—increase productivity. Heat- and solvent-resistant seals and low-maintenance mechanical design support long-term stable performance. System architecture is dimensionally configured to satisfy ASTM D6926 (specimen preparation) requirements and to enable performance evaluation per ASTM D6927 (stability–flow).
