The high-rigidity four-column loading frame combined with a single-piece base block ensures precise axial alignment throughout testing. A spherically seated upper platen and a ground, hardened lower platen automatically center the specimen and provide uniform load distribution. The wide test opening and extended stroke allow testing of standard 100×200 mm and 150×300 mm concrete cylinders, as well as a broad range of concrete block dimensions, on the same machine without structural modification.

The hydraulic power unit applies load automatically using a proportional valve and high-resolution force feedback, maintaining a constant loading rate in accordance with ASTM C39 and relevant ASTM methods for concrete blocks and masonry units. At specimen failure, the system automatically detects the maximum load, retracts the piston to a safe position, and instantly calculates compressive strength values in MPa.

An integrated electronic control unit with touchscreen interface simplifies operation and reporting. Predefined method templates for cylinders, blocks, and prisms accelerate test setup, while user authorization and specimen identification ensure traceability. Real-time load and displacement monitoring is displayed graphically during the test, and results are stored automatically. Data can be transferred via USB or Ethernet for reporting and archiving.

The machine frame and force measurement chain are manufactured from thermally stable and fatigue-resistant materials to ensure long-term measurement stability. Force verification is supported through traceable calibration procedures. Safety is enhanced by a transparent polycarbonate enclosure, door interlock safety switch, and emergency stop system, making the equipment suitable for high-traffic laboratory environments.

Operational efficiency is emphasized through quick-centering marks, interchangeable adapter sleeves, and tool-free transitions between cylinder and block platens, reducing specimen changeover time. Vibration-damping feet and balanced mass distribution improve bench stability, while service access panels provide easy maintenance of hydraulic and electronic components. Oil filtration and air-bleeding systems further extend hydraulic system service life.
