Proctor Moulds and Rammers for BS standarts are high-strength mould and hammer assemblies designed for laboratory soil compaction in accordance with BS 1377 / BS 1924. The moulds are manufactured from coated steel; the body, extension collar, and base plate lock together without gaps and maintain geometry under repeated impact compaction. Split and one-piece configurations are available to shorten specimen removal time and improve repeatability. The stud-and-wing-nut clamping system allows tool-free and secure assembly, while the smooth internal finish prevents sample edge scoring.

BS-type compaction mould has an internal volume of 1 L (≈1000 cm³); the common configuration uses a 100 mm internal diameter with a corresponding height, providing the correct volume/geometry relationship. The base plate offers a rigid support surface on the benchtop; the extension collar stabilizes the top level during compaction and improves sample preparation workflow. The moulds are compatible with automatic compactors, specimen extruders, and Proctor accessory systems. Rammer options cover the two BS compaction energy levels:  2.5 kg mass + 300 mm drop height , 4.5 kg mass + 450 mm drop height. The Ø50 mm impact face and vented guide sleeve ensure uniform blow energy by releasing trapped air during impact. High wear resistance, a balanced grip, and stable drop guidance provide sustained performance even under intensive laboratory routines.
