Dolaylı Çekme Test Cihazı (Brezilya Testi)
Brazilian Indirect Tensile Test is a testing method used to indirectly determine the tensile strength of rock specimens.
Brazilian Indirect Tensile Test enables the examination of the tensile behavior of rock material under applied stress without requiring a direct uniaxial tensile experiment. In the method, a cylindrical rock specimen is placed between two parallel loading platens and subjected to compressive force in the vertical direction. The applied load generates tensile stresses within the specimen, causing it to split into two halves along its diameter. The failure load is then used to calculate the indirect tensile strength (σt) of the rock material. The apparatus is manufactured from high-quality metal and precisely machined to ensure centered, smooth, and symmetrical load transfer during testing.
The system consists of:
- Two curved steel loading jaws
- A specimen centering mechanism
- Precision alignment pins
- Optional connection interfaces for a load cell and an LVDT displacement sensor
