During testing, the penetration depth of the needle into the sample is measured with high precision, and the results are recorded digitally. Each penetration cycle is automatically repeated at specified time intervals, allowing the device to monitor the hardening behavior of the sample in real time. The initial and final setting times are automatically determined based on the needle penetration depth and displayed graphically on the screen. The 7-inch color touchscreen allows the user to easily set test parameters, view results in real time, and save data at the end of the test. For high repeatability and measurement precision, the Automatic Vicat Apparatus uses a step-motor-controlled needle-lowering unit. The system detects instantaneous force changes when the needle contacts the sample surface and automatically stops the movement, ensuring the same penetration force is applied in every measurement.
