Bulk Density Measures

Bulk Density Measures are used to accurately determine the volumetric (bulk) density of coarse and fine aggregates under standardized testing conditions. Manufactured with precise cylindrical geometry, these containers ensure consistent volume definition and reliable measurement of aggregate unit weight and void content. Bulk Density Measures sets are available in a wide range of nominal capacities to meet different laboratory requirements, including 1/10 ft³, 1/3 ft³, 1/2 ft³, and 1 ft³ sizes, as well as metric capacities of 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 20 liters. Each container features permanent volume markings, a designated labeling area for weighing identification, and dual handles that allow safe and convenient transport during routine laboratory use. Standard accessories supplied with the Bulk Density Measures include a strike-off bar and tamping rod to ensure proper specimen preparation. When required, a pouring funnel is also provided to facilitate controlled filling of fine aggregates. The dimensions and overall geometry of the containers comply with common standardized procedures used for determining aggregate unit weight and void content in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and EN standards.
