CBR Mould ASTM/AASHTO Type 6” (152.4 mm)
CBR Moulds, ASTM/AASHTO Type 6” (152.4 mm), are designed for preparing subgrade and soil samples for penetration testing. The mould is manufactured from steel with corrosion-resistant coating, featuring an internal diameter of 152.4 mm (6”) and a body height of 177.8 mm (7”). It is supplied with a 50.8 mm high extension collar and a perforated base plate, providing concentric, repeatable specimen preparation.
The machined ends of the mould ensure tight, gap-free mating with the extension collar and base plate. A stud-and-wing-nut clamping assembly enables fast setup and secure locking. The extension collar and base plate can be mounted on either end, allowing convenient sample extrusion or inversion. Galvanized protective coating provides long service life and easy cleaning under intensive laboratory use. Dimensional tolerances comply with standard requirements to maintain the specimen volume within prescribed limits.
