Relative Density Cohesionless Soil Test Set

Relative Density Cohesionless Soil Test Set is designed to determine the relative density of granular, free-draining soils in accordance with recognized laboratory procedures. The system consists of an electromagnetic vibration table, calibrated moulds with surcharge assemblies, and precision accessories for filling and measurement.

The electromagnetically driven vibration table operates at constant frequency with adjustable amplitude. A rigid steel frame and damped mounting system ensure stable performance during extended test cycles. The large platform provides high load capacity, supporting the mould–surcharge assemblies securely; electronic controls regulate vibration amplitude and test duration. The set includes 0.1 ft³ (≈2830 cm³) and 0.5 ft³ (≈14 L) relative density moulds, supplied with surcharge weights, base plates, a guide-rod top collar, and clamping accessories. Machined mating surfaces and corrosion-resistant finishes maintain dimensional integrity under vibratory loading; the quick-locking arrangement promotes axial alignment. A precision funnel is provided for controlled and repeatable placement of fine granular material. All components are dimensioned to meet ASTM D4253 / ASTM D4254 requirements. Adjustable electromagnetic excitation and amplitude control ensure compliance with method specifications. Smooth surface finishes allow rapid cleaning, while the modular architecture enables fast mould changes and accessory re-configuration. The system offers reliable, repeatable specimen preparation for accurate assessment of maximum and minimum densities of cohesionless soils.
